As a tutor, I work with students to help them achieve academic success while providing an environment of learning that's fun and engaging. I treat each student as an individual with their own unique learning style, interests, strengths, and weaknesses. Once I assess their individual needs, I'm able to construct a program that increases their interest in the subject while encouraging full commitment and dedication to their success. I focus on a student's individual strengths to help build up their self-esteem and self-confidence, and then use that newfound confidence to stimulate improvement in areas they appear to have a weak understanding. While attending the University of Oklahoma, I gained knowledge that makes me a proficient tutor in many subjects, including Reading, Writing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar, History, Science, Advanced Placement, Gifted, Geography, Public Speaking, and Test Preparation.During my free time, I enjoy watching movies and catching up on my favorite television shows, reading a good book, trying out a new woodworking project, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
